An Index of Home Pages for Customers of The World

Customers of The World who have an HPA website may join this index by subscribing to the designated majordomo mailing list. The HPA websites are not automatically added to the index. Only World customers who choose to have their home page listed are included.

The HPA index appears on the website at the URL http://www.TheWorld.com/~hpaindex/

To join the index of homepages, send your subscribe request to the majordomo mailing list address:

majordomo@TheWorld.com

A subscription request can be any of the formats shown here. The information listed within the parenthesis will appear as the description field.

For your full name in the description field use:

subscribe hpa-index mer@TheWorld.com (Mary Riendeau)

For your business name in the description field use:

subscribe hpa-index xyzzy@TheWorld.com (The XYZZY Book Store)

Please note the use of parenthesis. Your description field must be within the parenthesis or the entry will not be valid.

The HPA index page is generated from the subscriber list several times per day. Your entry should appear on the index within 24 hours of your request.

To remove your page from the index, send mail to

majordomo@TheWorld.com

with the message

unsubscribe hpa-index

Your page will be removed from the list when the new index is generated. The removal may take upto 24 hours.

The HPA index service is limited to customers of The World, the oldest public dialup Internet service provider, founded in 1989. Subscription requests that originate from other Internet addresses will not be honored.
