National Dial-up Access to The World

About National Dial-up

You can access your World Gold or World A La Carta account through hundreds of U.S. direct dial-up locations, at no extra charge.

To connect to The World through any of the nationwide numbers, you need to configure your Dial-Up Networking (Windows) or Remote Access (Mac OS) control panel to login as "yourlogin@theworld.com". For Linux users, the PAP protocol is used for authentication. Just fill in the phone number and "yourlogin@TheWorld.com" as the account name. Please make sure that the chosen number is a local call for your calling plan with the phone company, because the World is not responsible for any additional charges to a phone bill.
