There is a file transfer protocol that works with some Macintosh terminal emulation software that supports MacBinary transfers. You may find that the commands macput and macget manage transfers quite smoothly for Macintosh file transfer.
To send a file from your local host to World (upload) use:
world% macget -u filename
To send a file from World to your local host (download) use:
world% macput -u file.name
