The World's HTML Tutorial

Sixteen installments of a tutorial concerning HTML were posted to "Today On The World" recently. They are archived here.

These are text files. We suggest that you save them to your computer's hard disk and read them with your favorite text editor (WordPad, SimpleText, BBEdit, etc.) to make it easier to cut and paste code from them as you work through the tutorials. To save a link to disk, in most Windows browsers you can click on the link with the right-hand mouse button and then select "Save (Download) Link To Disk" from the pop-up menu; in most Mac browsers, hold the mouse button down on the link and then select "Save (Download) Link To Disk" from the pop-up menu.

(Some browsers will also let you "drag" the links out of the browser window to save them to your desktop.)

You will also need to download a handful of small images for the tutorial.
