Thomas M. Putnam is Assistant Director of the Purdue University Computing Center, and Director of Operations and Services. He received a B.S. in Physics, University of Colorado, Boulder, 1966 and a M.S. in Computer Sciences, University of Wisconsin, Madison, 1968. Employed at Honeywell, Inc. from 1968 - 1977, initially developing time-shared operating systems and networks, and eventually becoming Manager of Research and Development for the Medical Systems Center. Moved to Purdue University in 1977, initially as Manager of Systems Development for CINDAS, an R&D information center. Joined the Purdue University Computing Center in 1979 as Manager of User Services. Assistant Director of the center, with responsibility for instructional laboratories, user services, publications, database and accounting services, and library automation. (Hopper, 1993)
